ABOUT
Every beautiful story has its beginning! Here's mine...
I trained as a jeweler at the School of Applied Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 2005 I won a Golay prize for a production on the theme Talisman. It is also this year that I obtain my CFC. I'm 21 years old and my head is full of dreams! I dream of having my own jewelry store in a pretty cobbled street and of being an independent designer(...). But I sorely miss the experience, and life is tough for young jewelers coming out of training. I am starting to work, in addition to my food work, every Thursday evening and Saturday for a jeweler in Bienne, who will share his passion with me. I will greatly expand my knowledge during this collaboration. But my situation is not changing, and I am forced to continue working on the side to earn a living. So I decide to find another job.
It was in Geneva, in a fine jewelry workshop, that I found a job. Each piece is unique, and requires a lot of technique and precision. I will learn a lot from this professional experience. Unfortunately, the economic crisis of 2009 made me lose my job to my great sadness. A new failure which, this time, will cause some collateral damage. My mind freezes and I reject all my dreams. I don't want to hear any more about jewelry. I pull the handbrake and do a 180° turn...
It was in a large Swiss furniture sales brand that I found a job as an assembly designer. The novelty of this experience pleases me at this time in my life, where the need to discover new things is essential to me. I then began training as a decorator at the La Chaux-de-Fonds Arts School. This return to basics will have a saving effect. I become aware of my abilities already acquired during my first training. I already have some background and artistic maturity. The little door of my mind opens to make way for the light...
One summer evening, I came home, put my bag on the table, and said: "I'm stopping my training, I'm opening my jewelry store!" This is the start of the 2XC adventure. 2xC, the equation with which I signed my projects and my drawings. In 2012, I opened my small shop on rue des Moulins in Neuchâtel. I'm not known and haven't touched my tools for three years. I have to prove myself, but in the meantime, I choose a small selection of designers and silver jewelry in order to secure a salary and be able to pay my rent. My first orders for custom jewelry arrive little by little, then more and more.
I finally fly when night falls.
